Assault with a Firearm
Sunnyside, WA- Shortly before midnight on Saturday Sunnyside Police responded to a shots fired call in the 1000 block of Decatur Ave in Sunnyside. The victim stated that a small silver car had driven through the alley and shot at the house. The male victim was uncooperative and refused to identify himself or answer police questions, as did the other two adult females in the house. At the time of the shooting there were also three small children in the house. The male victim was medically treated and released due to an abrasion received from gun powder, but was not struck by gunfire.
Further investigation found four bullet holes in the house and recovered one bullet from the scene. There is no suspect information at this time. Two of the adults in the house were arrested and charged with Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer RCW 9.56.010.
