Animal Control

Due to budget cuts, the City of Sunnyside's 2008 contract with the Humane Society of Central Washington expired November 30, 2008. While the city of Sunnyside is discussing opportunities to partner with the cities of Grandview and Prosser for animal control services, no decisions have been made at this time.

Yakima Health District

Each summer, the Yakima Health District looks for crows, ravens, or magpies who have died within the last 24 hours of no apparent trauma.

If you find such a bird, please contact the Yakima Health District immediately at (509) 249-6550.

If you find a bird on the weekend and have the ability to put it in a freezer, please freeze the bird and contact us on Monday.
